oualid ouchediri is a young artist who graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan in 2020. He was born in Marrakesh in October 1993. I settle in Marrakesh, always trying to research and develop my techniques and add new ones. I participated in the competition -- International Art Exhibition Vesuvian Glimpses - Civic Museum - Piazza Dana - Striano Italy - in 2022, where I was able to get first place. I work on the cocoon, a state in which the organism develops into another, better and more beautiful form. Then the cocoon - which is what interests me mainly - is an expression of that relationship between man and the Earth, and the stage of human development on Earth, but we always see something that opposes that development and often This results from the competition between humans and ideologies, which contributes to delaying the process of development in many ways. Hence, I try to draw the recipient’s attention to this environmental and cultural dilemma through my artistic works.

In my artworks that rely particularly on pastels and paintings, I always try to emphasize and its importance this future human transformation, called “transhumanism”, through which man will experience change and uniqueness, not from a physiological perspective, but also from a spiritual aspect. I also work with many materials and techniques, such as sculpture and photography, to highlight this idea and also highlight those problems that stand between man and his future, such as ideological control and manipulation of nature and the human mind, which slows down our development. I work on the cocoon as an analogy for this difficult stage in which we live, as if we are trying to develop within our cocoon, the Earth.
