Eternal Silence
2022
In "Eternal Silence", a charcoal drawing on paper, a man lies stretched out, occupying the entire space of the composition. This work explores in depth the nature of death in the spiritual world, questioning the intangible connections between our earthly existence and transcendent dimensions. The man, frozen in a posture of ultimate stillness, seems at peace, as if absorbed in an eternal sleep. Delicate shadows and subtle charcoal lines evoke both the fragility and complexity of human life. Here, death is not an abrupt end, but a gentle transition to an unknown and mysterious elsewhere. Through this representation, the artist explores themes of mortality and spirituality. The blurred contours and fine nuances suggest a gradual dissolution of the physical body, as if the soul were slowly leaving its carnal envelope to venture into a spiritual realm. The void surrounding the central figure reinforces the sense of infinity, symbolizing eternity and the unknown.
