Artistic approach

Growing up in a legendary neighborhood of Casablanca, I was exposed to traditional architecture from a very young age. In this neighborhood, arabesque and craftsmanship were omnipresent, buildings were decorated with repetitive patterns and organic shapes.
A fascination with these shapes that has accompanied me throughout my life, The repetitive patterns and organic shapes transport me to another world, where I can get lost in the details and nuances of each shape, The colors used are particularly captivating, creating contrasts and subtle nuances that catch the eye. Shapes are repeated and combined in complex ways to create abstract patterns. A sense of movement and fluidity, great depth and a visual meditation that can continue to reveal new details. I have noticed that this immersion can go as far as reaching pareidolia, where I can perceive human forms in architectural patterns and structures.
This added an extra dimension to my appreciation of these traditional works of art. All this allowed me to devote myself to the exploration of these forms and their relationship with the pareidolia of the human body. I was intrigued by how these patterns can be interpreted as images of human bodies. Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon where the brain perceives human shapes.

I therefore decided to represent the silhouette of the body in a conscious way using the notions used in the representation of traditional patterns and architectural structures.
To achieve this, I use notions such as form repetition, fragmentation and recursion to create a unique representation of the human form, which captures both its beauty and complexity. Silhouette representation allows us to explore the contours and shapes of the human body in a more conceptual and symbolic way. This gives rise to abstract images that invite the observer to interpret the meaning hidden behind each line and curve.
