Biography

FEKROUNI El Hadi born in 1994 in Larache lives and works in Tetouan. (MOROCCO)After a bachelor’s degree in
sciences I enrolled in the Art-plastic department of INBA from which he graduated in 2020.
His work is the plastic and expressive reflection of his daily life; he develops a free figuration inspired by
European tones (David Hockney, Francis Bacon, Edward Hopper, Alberto Giacometti)
His works form a catharsis allowing him to free himself from his sensations of solitude, injustice and violence experienced, felt and internalized during his social interactions. The variety of subjects he explores takes
then the shape and colors of his sensitivity.

Artistic approach

In my paintings and drawings, I explore the theme of loneliness and I seek to express the deep feelings I feel both in my inner world and in my external environment.

My works are characterized by skillful use of acrylic, oil pastel and pencil. I create visually striking compositions, using vibrant colors and strong contrasts to capture the emotional atmosphere of solitude. His solitary characters, often represented in evocative environments, allow spectators to immerse themselves in an introspective universe.

I am particularly inspired by master painters such as Edward Hopper, Francis Bacon, David Hockney and Alberto Giacometti, who also explored solitude in their work. Their influences manifest themselves in my desire to master the technique and its ability to create suggestive compositions that capture attention and provoke deep thought.

Through my art, I wish to communicate a deep empathy towards universal human emotions, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own experience of loneliness and the possibility of transformation and renewal. My paintings and drawings offer an invitation to sincere introspection and the search for a new life beyond solitude.
