Maryam Baroudi, originally from Fez Morocco, began her practice in
photographing sunset landscapes. By necessity she
seizes the medium of painting in order to interpret in a manner
expressive and colorful these research photos.
She experiments with various media (Performance, Video-art, etc.) with passion.
At the same time, it integrates elements of the
Moroccan artisanal embroidery TARZ FASSI.
She discusses behavior modification through her paintings
of the individual and society, as well as the affect caused by brutality
traumatic events, its issues lie in the force captured
of the unfinished to translate the feeling of absence and threat, by going
beyond simple illustration.

The pictorial work of Maryam Baroudi is both a questioning on painting as a raw language, to testify to interiorityof the body, and also an attempt to reveal the post-traumatic effects which affect the psyche in particular through
behavior modification.
Maryam Baroudi's reflection is based on an almost synaesthetic approach to color. At the same time, she carries out in-depth chromatic research which evokes hematomas, bruises and fiery red.
All his research tends to recall the permanent dialectic of the duality of body and mind which are two different entities while being intimately linked to each other.
