Biography
Chaimae Lehamaoui Moroccan, originally from Ifrane (Middle Atlas). folding designer, Major of the 2019-2020 class of Design department of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan, Morocco.
She has participated in several collective exhibitions in Morocco and in multiple national and international workshops.
Artistic approach
During her academic studies, she developed a fascination for Origami (the art of folding) after noting the recurrence and very well-known and widespread presence of this formal structure in our environment.
The experimentation with folding used paper made us aware that the diversity and quantity of waste paper that we produce can become a resource to serve art on the one hand and design on the other, in order to to create new artistic products without resorting to wasting our natural resources.
