Mushawah – misshapen

2025

How do we see things? Do we all see in the same way? If you see things differently, is it an illness? For others things seem beautiful, but in my eyes they appear distorted. Through this photography experiment, I try to depict a vision of seeing myself or things and convey that each person has a unique way of seeing. I believe our vision is shaped by illness, fears, love, social status, and financial stability. Walking the street alone, I seek to capture things and situations as I see them. Sometimes they seem distorted to me but appear good or beautiful to others. Since I'm always photographing with attention to my vision and perspective, all these factors can make you think and see situations in extreme ways or perhaps correctly. Ultimately, there is no seeing worse or right.
