Leila Mouline holds a Master’s degree in Strategy and Marketing (Paris Dauphine University – 2009). She began her plastic practice instinctively and self-taught.

She has been exhibiting her paintings since 2020: in Casablanca in the Living 4 Art Gallery (2020) and Garden Event (2022); in Rabat within the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco (2022).

Leila Mouline adopts abstraction painting, handling a particular tool: the knife. She develops a material formalism which allows the material used to reveal all the nuances of its reliefs. His artistic research is part of the mythology of the intimate.

Leila Mouline's artistic approach is mainly built on the notion of materialism because she is particularly attracted by the volume provided by materials such as thick acrylic, modeling paste, plaster paste, plaster or even fabric. .
She sees art as a creative process whose creation the viewer must be able to relive thanks to the traces left by the artist: scrapings, incisions, marks, stains, prints...

The perceptual feeling favors emotion over the evocative qualities of the gesture and the manipulation of the material. His exploration of new means of surface treatment offers an invitation to discover the tactile qualities of his work.

Leila Mouline's research is based on questions induced by processes of deep meditation and interiority through which certain memories linked to her lived experiences emerge. His quest is therefore of the order of the fictionalization of the intimate where it is a question of diving into the depths of one's being in order to let these stories of oneself blossom and show them.
