Born in Kasba Tadla (Morocco) in 1994, Meryem Kassaoui is an artist designer, graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan in 2018, Meryem is a multidisciplinary artist.
She innovates by using ultra-contemporary mediums such as digital illustration, installation, drawing, painting and sculpture.
Fascinated by the figures of birds and their symbols, nature and the freedom of the body, and through her artistic passion and her interests the artist created her theme to share her emotions and her vision on freedom.

His imaginary characters inspired by birds and more precisely the figure of the owl and penguin, his attitudes, the way in which he places himself on nature, represents himself, his interpretation of freedom.
For her, it is creating these characters that expresses her artistic soul and her thoughts, in her works.
She draws her inspiration from her childhood and the surroundings where she grew up in the middle of nature on a farm with her large family and the stories of her grandmother full of imagination... through mental images anchored in her memory that she revisits and represents in the form of painting, drawings, engravings, digital illustrations, installations…
