EXPOSITION Prix Mustaqbal 2021 : "Hier-Aujourd’hui-Demain"

The TGCC Foundation presents from July 16 to September 18, 2021 the collective exhibition of the 15 finalists of the first edition of the Mustaqbal Prize, a Young Contemporary Creation competition organized by the TGCC Foundation.

On the theme, Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow, the works presented express the creative abundance in Morocco and can be discovered until September 18 at the Artorium art space at the Oasis in Casablanca.

Born from the conviction that the influence of art also contributes to that of the Kingdom, the TGCC Foundation has set itself the mission of facilitating access to culture and bringing out new talents. For this first edition, the members of the jury examined 175 applications from qualified or self-taught artists aged 20 to 35, Moroccans or residents in Morocco. Among them, 15 finalists, whose work will be exhibited at Artorium from July 16 until September 18, are contenders for the first prize, namely an Artists’ Residency with the support of the Montresso* Foundation at the Jardin Rouge in Marrakech, one-year support from the TGCC Foundation teams, a personal exhibition alongside the next edition of the prize as well as a cash grant of 35,000 dhs. “The quality of the applications received and the perceptible involvement of most of the artists who submitted were well beyond our expectations. We were aware that Morocco was still a place where creativity abounded and to see this abstract evidence come to fruition thanks to the Mustaqbal Prize is a first victory for the TGCC Foundation” underlines Meryem Bouzoubaa, President of the Foundation. The Mustaqbal Prize is an act of confidence from the TGCC Foundation in the future of young artists, a promise of support in their visual research and listening to their concerns.
